Playing With The Alphabet

Playing With The Alphabet

Watching my little boy learn and discover new things potentially may be the most fascinating thing I've ever experienced. Whether it be showing us where his belly button is, the motion of the crying 'babies on the bus' or the most recent favourite - 'MORE', it blows my mind every time something new emerges from his tiny little brain. Children subconsciously interact with things every day that inspire their learning, their little minds constantly soaking up everything around them. It is so hard to believe that once, we all knew nothing.

When I decided to create my own product, I very much had this in mind. I wanted to create something that I knew would have a significant impact on a child's learning, as well as ticking all the boxes of the perfect 'toy'. Fun. Safe. Educational. And for us monochrome mums out there - aesthetic.

So. What exactly are the benefits of playing with our alphabet?

  1. Language development: As children play with the alphabet, they become more familiar with letter sounds, word formation, and sentence structure.

  2. Cognitive skills: Playing with the alphabet engages children's brains, improving their cognitive skills like memory, attention, and problem-solving.

  3. Motor development: As children manipulate the toys, they are improving their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and dexterity. These skills are essential for many everyday tasks, such as writing, drawing, and playing sports.

  4. Social skills: Playing with the alphabet can also help children develop their social skills. When interacting and they playing with others, they learn to communicate, share and take turns.

  5. Confidence and creativity: As children play with the alphabet, they become more confident in their abilities, and they develop their creativity. They experiment with different letter combinations, make up stories, and discover new ways to use the letters, which can spark their imaginations and lead to a lifelong love of learning.

Not only does our alphabet aid in learning, it's uses really are endless. The perfect toy to play with at the beach or in the bath. You're able to create puzzles, match the colours, stack, stamp and even to bake your little ones name in cookies!
